MNS arrested another group of participants in the fighting in Syria and Iraq
The Ministry of National Security (MNS) arrested another group of persons accused of involvement in the war in Syria and Iraq as part of the terrorist group "Islamic State", "Jabhatul-Nusra" and "Jumdul-Xalifa." According to the report the MNB, the Azerbaijanis: Namig Guliyev Shahid oglu, Hajiverdiev Khalid Aliaga oglu, Ahmadov Taleh Mahir oglu, Askerov Elvin Asgar oglu, and Mahmudov Anar Kerem oglu were brought to justice.
The Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Security is conducting investigation under the Articles 12.1, 279.1(creation of illegal armed units abroad), 12.3,28, 214.2.1 (terrorism abroad), 12.3,28,214.2.3 (the same procedure with the use of weapons), 12.1,218.2 (organization of a criminal community abroad), and 283-1.3 of the Criminal Code (incitement to religious hatred.) All of the persons arrested by the court decision. The investigation found that in 2012-2015 they participated in the fighting in Syria and Iraq.
The investigation continues, the search of other members of these groups continues, reads the statement of the National Security Ministry.
