Moscow maintains nearly daily contacts with Baku and Yerevan to unblock communications - Overchuk
Baku/16.06.23/Turan: Moscow is in nearly daily contact with Baku and Yerevan to unblock transport communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Russia participates in the talks, proposes solutions, provides a link between the Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, a platform for dialogue. I never answer the question when exactly the unblocking will happen and how quickly or slowly - when the parties agree, then it will happen," Overchuk was quoted as saying by "RIA Novosti".
He also mentioned his discussions with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev on the margins of SPIEF, particularly, the issues that remained unresolved after a meeting in Moscow with colleagues from Baku and Yerevan.
"The main work is ongoing. We have contacts with the Azerbaijani and the Armenian sides over unblocking transport links almost on a daily basis. This is in fact the case. We are in constant communication - phone calls, file exchanges. The work is not going from meeting to meeting," he said, commenting on the date of the next meeting of the trilateral working group.
Earlier, Overchuk noted the significant progress in the dialogue on the unblocking of transport communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia following the June 2 meeting of the working group of Moscow, Baku and Yerevan. -06В-
