MPs urge to raise police salaries
Baku/11.11.21/Turan: During the parliamentary hearings of the draft state budget-2022, at a joint meeting of a number of committees of the Azerbaijani parliament, the deputies proposed to increase the salaries of police officers.
Thus, MP Zahid Oruj pointed out that in Georgia, district inspectors receive $ 400-500 per month, and patrol officers - $ 1000. He offered to increase the salaries of Azerbaijani policemen as well.
Deputy Gudrat Hasanguliyev, in turn, spoke in favor of a twofold increase in the salaries of junior police officers. He also proposed to increase the salaries of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In this regard, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said that on the instructions of the head of state, proposals were prepared to increase the salaries of various categories of the population.
According to him, this should apply to law enforcement officials, as well as military personnel. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a decree on the payment of benefits to war veterans. — 06B-
