Murder of frontier guard will not remain unanswered, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Baku/08.01.20/Turan: On January 7, because of sniper shelling of the Armenian side in the direction of the village of Gushchu Airim of the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan, the border guard Farzaly Farzaliev was killed.
In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan made a statement accusing Armenia in a consistent violation of the ceasefire at the state border and along the line of contact.
Yerevan only verbally shows respect for the values of international law and its calls for a peaceful resolution of the conflict are false, the document says.
“With this deliberate attack, Armenia once again confirms that it is it that is the aggressor side, and its attempts to hide behind the fake regime that it created in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan are completely unsuccessful,” the statement said.
The actions of the Armenian side will be given an answer, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. -02D-
