“Musavat” and “ReAl” announced their candidates for deputies
The opposition parties “Musavat” and Republican Alternative (ReAl) have published lists of their candidates for deputies in the early elections to the Milli Majlis on September 1. The “Musavat” Party presented a list of its candidates for 27 electoral districts. The head of the party, Isa Gambar, and the chairman of the Mejlis of the party, Arif Hajili, are missing from the list. Among those who are running for deputies is the head of the central office of the party Gulaga Aslanli, former chairman of the Mejlis Nushaba Sadikhli. “Musavat's” message notes that discussions are continuing on the nomination of candidates and on other districts.
The “ReAl” Party announced the nomination of candidates in 13 electoral districts. Among them are party leader Ilgar Mammadov, member of the political committee Natig Jafarli, lawyer Rasul Jafarov, deputy of the Milli Majlis of the 6th convocation Erkin Gadirli, architect Elchin Aliyev and others.
To register a candidate for deputy by the district election commission, 400 valid signatures of voters must be submitted in their favor.
Elections to the 125-seat Parliament of Azerbaijan will be held on September 1.
