Намерение Азербайджана навести порядок в добыче природных ископаемых в Карабахе, вызвало недовольство сепаратистов

Azerbaijan's intention to restore order in the extraction of natural resources in Karabakh has caused dissatisfaction of separatists

Baku/04.12.22/Turan: In the Armenian-populated territory of Karabakh, separatists opposed the legitimate actions of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan to stop the illegal extraction and export of minerals to Armenia.

"It is obvious that Azerbaijan is using this step as a provocation to interrupt the land connection between Armenia and Karabakh," the self-styled "Committee for Nature Protection" of the CCAMLR said in a statement.

Metaxe Hakobyan, a deputy of the self-styled parliament of the ANC, made an anti-Azerbaijani statement, accusing the Armenian authorities of betraying the Armenians of Karabakh (NEWS.am )

"The Azerbaijanis wanted to check the reaction of the international community and the risks. The ultimate goal is to show that they are the rightful owners of Karabakh and can block a vital road at any moment. They have assessed and will wait for the reaction of the international community and the Armenian authorities," Hakobyan said.

The self-styled Foreign Ministry of the separatist regime turned to foreign allies for help. The statement refers to "dearmenization", "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing". The German politician, MEP Lars Patrick Berg answered. He told Armenpress that the European Parliament should force the Azerbaijani authorities to "adopt international norms", for this the EU should abandon the gas deal with Azerbaijan. Berg did not say how the illegal extraction and export of natural resources from Azerbaijan comply with international standards.

Azerbaijani political scientist Ilgar Velizade commented on yesterday's events at the intersection of the Shusha-Dashalti roads in Karabakh on social networks.

"The essence of Azerbaijan's just demands to conduct an inspection at its field is that, in accordance with Article 14 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, natural resources belong to the Republic of Azerbaijan without prejudice to the rights and interests of any individuals and legal entities, and any development of them without state authorization is a crime. Thus, sending specialists from official Baku to investigate the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits on the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan is quite legitimate," Velizade stressed.

It is known about the deposit, the bowels of which are being plundered by Armenians, that this is the gold-copper deposit "Gyzylbulag" (Golden Spring). It is located 35 km from the former regional center of Agdere. There, along with gold, copper and silver can be mined. This deposit was discovered by scientists of the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1965 and was first prepared for development by the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Azerbaijan SSR.

Administratively, the deposit is located on the territory of the Kelbajar region, within the East Zangezur Economic Region. But since this part of the region is located in the zone of temporary responsibility of the Russian Peacekeeping Contingent (RMK), the relevant executive authorities of Azerbaijan still have the opportunity to monitor the situation here with the assistance of the RPC," the political scientist explained.

Yesterday, the only road between Karabakh and Armenia was temporarily blocked for three hours at the intersection of Shusha-Dashalty roads in Karabakh. The road was unblocked after an agreement was reached between the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan and the RPC on the preparation of a roadmap for monitoring mining in Karabakh.—0—
