Intellectuals recommend preparing for all scenarios in Iran
Baku/04.12.22/Turan: The political processes taking place in Iran, as well as the current state and future of Iranian-Azerbaijani relations were discussed on December 3 at the Caspian Platform by a group of public and political figures of Azerbaijan.
During the discussion closed to the media, the tense situation in Iran, the civil conflict, and the nature of complex conflict processes were widely analyzed. The sides exchanged views on the possible consequences of the events in Iran for the Republic of Azerbaijan, threats that may arise in the region, and readiness for various scenarios.
The focus was also on Tehran's reaction to the position of official Baku regarding violations of the fundamental rights of multimillion compatriots living in Southern Azerbaijan in recent days. Has been analyzed the approach of international and regional forces, Azerbaijani authorities, political and public structures, civil society and individual independent persons to the processes in Iran, the general readiness for further developments. In addition, compatriots who emigrated from South Azerbaijan voiced an analysis of the political situation in Iran.
During the discussion, interesting and politically and scientifically sound speeches were made.
Lawyer Ali Mustafa, Professor Adil Geybulla, leader of the "Maidan" movement Nemet Panakhly, researcher Yasemen Garagoyunlu, political scientist Huseyn Naidov, investigative journalist Nazir Ahmadli, journalist Rufat Muradli, political scientist Taleh Aliyev, conflict analyst Elkhan Mehdiyev, international relations expert Nazim Jafarsoy, military expert Terlan Eyvazov and others spoke at the hearing.
The discussion was organized by security expert Ilham Ismail and political expert Nasimi Mammadli. The participants of the meeting decided to continue discussions in various formats.
