Court keeps 'Meydan TV' reporter in custody
Baku's Khatai district court on Tuesday rejected a motion to place 'Meydan TV' reporter Ramin Jerailzadeh (Deco) under house arrest.
Lawyer Nemat Kerimli told Turan that the motion was based on the fact that no investigative actions are being carried out against the reporter.
‘The preventive measure of arrest was chosen without any proof, evidence. At present, no investigative action is being carried out. In that case, there is no reason to keep him in custody,’ the lawyer said.
The defence will appeal.
