Netanyahu announced start of third stage of Israel's war against "Hamas"
Baku/31.10.23/Turan: Israel has entered the third phase of the war against the Palestinian "Hamas" movement in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced. This phase involves an expansion of the ground military operation.
"We are in the midst of the war. We have set a clear goal: to destroy "Hamas" military and managerial capacity. We are doing it systematically. The initial phase of the blockade is over. The second phase is the ever-ongoing air attacks. The third stage is the expansion of ground penetration into the Gaza Strip," the Israeli Prime Minister said in a statement.
Among the goals of the ground operation in the enclave is the release of the hostages; "Hamas" will eventually "receive a blow from which it will not recover and will be defeated," resulting in "another Gaza."
At the same time, Netanyahu warned the Lebanese group "Hezbollah" against attacking Israel from the north. It would be "the mistake of your life." "You will receive a blow that you cannot even imagine," the Israeli Prime Minister was quoted by many media outlets as saying.
Note that the war between Israel and "Hamas" has been going on since 7 October. It began with the firing of hundreds of rockets at Israeli territory, seizing a number of territories and hostages. The victims of the attack were at least 1.400 Israelis. So far, more than 8,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip. -0-
