New appointments in the prosecutor general’s office
Baku/21.05.20/Turan: By order of the head of state, three of the four deputy general prosecutors were appointed.
The first deputy prosecutor General Rustam Usubov was fired. Elchin Mammadov, who had previously worked as the prosecutor of the Lankaran region, was appointed instead of him.
Nazim Rajabov was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General and Head of the Anti-Corruption Department. Previously, he was the head of the Office of Personnel of the Prosecutor General.
Elmar Jamalov, who previously worked as the prosecutor of the city of Mingechevir, was appointed deputy prosecutor general.-03D-

Independent journalist Khanum Mustafayeva was unable to leave Azerbaijan on January 11. At the Baku airport, she was told that the ban was imposed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. However, the reasons for restricting the journalist's rights were not explained to her.
