As a result, the current head of the EU, Donald Tusk, told journalists in the evening of July 2 that the Belgian Charles Michel would become the head of the European Council; now their candidates must agree on the European Parliament.
According to Western observers, all new leaders are taking an anti-Russian stance, which promises Moscow new problems.
