Baku / 03.07.19 / Turan: Tehran is determined to develop and deepen relations with Yerevan in the political and economic spheres, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on July 3, receiving Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan in Tehran.

"The relations of the Iranian people with Armenia have always been friendly, and we want them to strengthen and develop even more," the agency IRNA quotes Rouhani.

At the same time, he noted the importance of accelerating the implementation of joint projects and expanding bilateral relations. In particular, he noted the importance of strengthening banking cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan, stressing that the transition to national currencies in mutual settlements will lead to an increase in the volume of trade.

Rouhani also recalled that in June, the Iranian parliament ratified the agreement on a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union, which provides a good opportunity to expand Iran"s cooperation with Eurasian countries. -02D-
