Once a holiday for Armenians on September 2, it became a day of bitterness
Baku/01.09.21/Turan: For several days now, the Armenian press has to state the fact that for the first time over 30 years, the Armenian leaders will not take part in the events dedicated to the "Independence Day of Artsakh". The point is about the 30th anniversary.
In the past years, the Armenian leaders unfailingly arrived in Karabakh to attend the holiday, military parades, etc. However, from now on, after the defeat in the war, the Armenians have to state that the road to Karabakh is under the control of the Russian peacekeepers who are "watched" by the Azerbaijani military to control any person coming from Armenia.
However, the mourning is not over as yet. This year, the Prime Minister and the President of Armenia failed to send messages on the occasion of the anniversary of the "independence" of Karabakh marked on September 2.
It was on this day in 1991 that the "parliament" of Karabakh declared independence from Azerbaijan marking the beginning of the armed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. - 02D-
