The US Embassy thanked the Azerbaijani peacekeepers
Baku/01.09.21/Turan: The US Embassy in Baku thanked the Azerbaijani military who ensured security at the Kabul airport.
"We are grateful to the Azerbaijani peacekeepers for their assistance in ensuring security in the evacuation led by the United States and NATO partners from the Kabul airport. We are glad that the Azerbaijani peacekeepers have returned safe and sound," a message on the Facebook page of the US Embassy reads.
It should be recalled that the Azerbaijani peacekeepers made of 120 military personnel left Afghanistan at the end of the operation to evacuate foreign citizens and Afghans who cooperated with the embassies of Western states from this country.
