Baku / 10.11.20 / Turan: The trilateral agreement signed on the night of November 10 on the peaceful solution of the Karabakh problem was variously assessed by political parties and experts in Azerbaijan.
The chairman of the Musavat party, Arif Hajili, in a conversation with Turan, emphasized the lack of consultations with the Azerbaijani society and parties, which should have preceded an important agreement on Karabakh. “The Azerbaijanis learned about the agreement at four o'clock in the morning, which is unacceptable,” he said.
A. Hajili noted the violation by the authorities of the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the Declaration of Independence of the country, which exclude the entry of foreign troops into the country. According to the agreement, a Russian peacekeeping military contingent will be deployed to Karabakh.
Musavat expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that, despite the verbal assurances of I. Aliyev about the participation of Turkish peacekeeping forces, Turkey and its armed forces are not mentioned in the agreement signed at night.
Arif Hajili doubted that this agreement will be implemented, as Armenia reports that political forces are dissatisfied with the terms of the agreement with Azerbaijan.
The chairman of the Umid (Hope) party, Igbal Agazadeh, found it difficult to call the night agreement a victory for Azerbaijan, since the document returns the problem to the level of 1988, when a Soviet committee led by Moscow ruled in Karabakh. He called the peace agreement "half-hearted" and drew attention to the lack of intelligible explanations for the status of the Turkish military contingent in the settlement. The exact idea of the participation of the Turks in the peace process will be known after the signing of a special Russian-Turkish document on the monitoring group in Karabakh.
In general, I. Agazadeh is fundamentally against the return of the Russian army to Karabakh under any guise and reason, the leader of the Umid party stressed in an interview for Turan.
MP and member of the political council of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Aydin Mirzazadeh, in an interview with Turan, called the agreement with Armenia a "historic victory" since, in general, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan will be restored.
The Azerbaijani army returned part of the occupied lands, and the rest will be returned with the withdrawal of Armenian troops. The party considers it a merit of two Presidents - Heydar Aliyev and Ilham Aliyev.
Yeni Azerbaijan does not consider the return of Russian armed forces to Azerbaijan to be a drawback of the signed agreement, since the number and intentions of the Russian army units in Karabakh are stipulated. He pointed out that, according to the document, the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation are being introduced for five years.
A. Mirzazadeh drew attention to the opening opportunities for the return of refugees to their lands, from which they were expelled by the Armenians.
“The REAL party is preparing an extensive statement on the significance of the agreement reached,” Natig Jafarli said on Facebook. He noted the important passages of the statement: in 40 days of the war, Azerbaijan won, Armenia lost, and Russia benefited from all this, as it always has been for 200 years.
An extensive statement is also being prepared by the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan. The deputy chairman of the party, Seymour Hazi, told Turan the main provisions of the statement: the PFPA supported the Azerbaijani army, considers it the winner in the war. But the return of the Russian army to the region after a long absence worries the party, which considers the appearance of the Russian army in the country a dangerous factor for Azerbaijan's independence.
The Association Liberation of Karabakh sees in the signed agreement dangerous moments for Azerbaijan. The chairman of the organization Akif Nagy believes that the Armenians can use the world, consolidate, collect weapons under the protection of Russian peacekeepers and start a new war under the slogan of separatism. Azerbaijan should not allow such use by Armenians of the terms of the peace agreement, he said. He believes that a new pro-Russian government will come to Armenia, and this is the dangerous side of the signed document.
The black day in our history was called November 10, 2020 by political emigrant, analyst Rauf Mirkadyrov. He believes that I. Aliyev will not go down in the history of Azerbaijan as a liberator, as he returns Russia to Azerbaijan.
Politics is the art of the possible, for today we have got the maximum possible. But the conflict is not over yet, and we will continue to fight for the full restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty over the entire territory of the country,” former Foreign Minister Tofig Zulfugarov wrote on a social network.—0—
