Baku / 23.06.18 / Turan: A delegation of 24 permanent representatives of OSCE participating countries visited Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan from June 18 to 22.
Such a trip, for the first time in several years in this format, confirms the great interest of OSCE countries in the peace, stability and prosperity of the region, taking into account the obligations and principles of organization of each of the three countries.
The Ambassadors met with members of governments and parliaments, political parties and representatives of civil society in Yerevan, Tbilisi and Baku. During the talks, special attention was paid to security issues, conflict resolution and recent political processes.
Ambassador Veronica Roger-Lacan from France conveyed the joint messages of the group, stressing support for "expanding the OSCE's cooperation for the sake of common security." The OSCE seeks to intensify its ties with Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan in order to benefit their societies and organizations in all spheres of security, the message says.
In Azerbaijan, the Ambassadors met with Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev, as well as with representatives of the parliament, including Deputy Chairman Bahar Muradova and Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov.
