Strasbourg / 10.10.17 / Turan: The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) elected the Cyprian parliamentarian Stella Kyriakides as the new head of the PACE by a majority of votes in the third round. Kyriakides will lead the Assembly until January 2018, when PACE will again elect a chairman, but from a new political group.
Stella Kyriakides is a representative of the Cyprus delegation to the Assembly since June 20, 2016. She is chairman of the PACE Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development. She signed a petition on the removal of the former PACE head Pedro Agramunt from the post.-02D-

Official Baku has condemned the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Azerbaijan-Armenia border during his official visit to Armenia.
