Parliament asked to dissolve itself
The Azerbaijani Parliament has today adopted an appeal to the President of Azerbaijan with a request to call early elections to Milli Majlis.
The appeal was adopted on the initiative of deputies from the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party, which has an absolute majority in the Parliament.
The initiative is motivated by the fact that the next Parliamentary elections to be held in November, but at this time Baku will host international events, including COP29.
Most likely, snap elections will be held in early September.
