Parliament is concerned about the fate of Khalida Khalid arrested in Iran
Milli Majlis is concerned about the fate of Khalida Khalid, the employee of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. She was detained in Iran a few weeks ago for unknown reasons. According to the Iranian press, Khalid "was engaged in illegal activities."
The speaker of parliament Oktay Asadov, said that the appeal to Ali Larijani, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, requesting assistance in objective investigation is being prepared.
MP Fazil Mustafa said that this is not the first time that the Iranian authorities arrested the Azerbaijanis with absurd accusations against them, and then let them go.
"We should more actively protect our citizens and attract the attention of international organizations to the facts of outrages on the part of Iran. It is necessary to use every effort to protect the rights of Khalida Khalid, " he said. -17D—
