Parliament of the Netherlands adopted a resolution on Azerbaijan
Baku/14.10.21/Turan: On October 14, 2021, the Parliament of the Netherlands almost unanimously adopted a resolution in which it indicated that in Azerbaijan "the repression of the authorities against the opposition and citizens of Azerbaijan has intensified", Turan was told about this by the director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy (IMD) Leyla Yunus.
According to her, the initiator of the discussions was the IMD, which applied to the parliament with a report on the situation with human rights in Azerbaijan, on the presence of 122 political prisoners in the country, torture, and in particular on the persons involved in the "Terter case". The IMD drew attention to these problems on the eve of the December Eastern Partnership summit, to which Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was also invited.
According to her, the Dutch parliament called on the European Commission to consider "the worsening human rights situation in Azerbaijan." –06В-
