Pashinyan complained to Putin about comments about the Brussels meeting
Baku/01.06.22/Turan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in a telephone conversation on Wednesday, the press service of the Armenian government reported.
"The President of Russia welcomed the first meeting of the commission on demarcation and border security issues and confirmed Russia's readiness to support the border demarcation process. It was emphasized that, in accordance with the agreement reached, the next meeting of the commission will be held in Moscow," the message says.
Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin also touched upon the opening of regional communications, an agreement was reached to intensify the work of the trilateral working group.
In turn, the Prime Minister of Armenia spoke about the last meeting with the President of Azerbaijan and the head of the European Council on May 22 in Brussels. "He expressed concern over the comments made after this meeting, which are not related to the essence of the discussions," the message says without specifying which comments he is talking about.
Armenia was dissatisfied with Ilham Aliyev's statement that the meeting in Brussels showed that the international community supports Azerbaijan's fair position, that Armenia must recognize this and agree that the Karabakh conflict has been resolved. -02D-
