Pashinyan`s destructive statements undermine the peace process – Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Baku/15.03.23/Turan: The statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on March 14 were called absolutely groundless and grossly distorting historical facts by the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Ayhan Hajizade.
In his comments to the media, he said that the anti-Azerbaijani campaign carried out by Pashinyan, who "violates promises" made at various international venues, undermines negotiations on a peace agreement and does not bode well for Armenia.
He called unacceptable Armenia's attempts to interfere in Baku's dialogue with Armenian residents, and ignoring Azerbaijan's sovereignty over the Karabakh region.
"The Prime Minister of Armenia should understand that the rights of Armenians living in the Karabakh region can never prevail over the rights of the Azerbaijani population, and Azerbaijan will apply an equal approach to various ethnic peoples living in its territory," he said.
Pashinyan's statement that Armenia will sign a peace agreement that takes into account only Yerevan's proposals and its demand for certain "International mechanisms" and an "International Guarantee Institute" testifies to his destructive position. ---0---
