Passage of Russian cargo to Khankendi is important step for opening of road through Aghdam - Foreign Ministry
Baku/12.09.23/Turan: Today, in coordination with the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, the passage of the Russian Red Cross Society's lorry to Khankendi through the Aghdam-Khankendi road was ensured.
"Despite the provocations and obstacles of the puppet regime created by Armenia in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, we consider the delivery of cargo to Khankendi in coordination with Azerbaijan and precisely on the Aghdam-Khankendi road as a positive and important step," Hajizadeh said.
As for the simultaneous use of the Aghdam-Khankendi road and through Lachin, Baku has agreed to synchronised (simultaneous) transports on it through the ICRC, as noted during high-level contacts with the US and other partners.
"Unfortunately, this is hindered by the regime created by Armenia in the Karabakh region," Hajizadeh emphasised.
"Once again, we reiterate that the Azerbaijani side is ready to create conditions for parallel use of the Aghdam-Khankendi road for transportation of goods through the ICRC via the Lachyn border crossing point with the observance of relevant border and customs procedures," Hajizadeh concluded. -06D-
