The NATO mission "Strong Support" has been implemented since January 2015. Until 2018, the number of Azerbaijani soldiers in Afghanistan was 94, from 2018 their number increased to 120 people.President IlhamAliyev said at the NATO meeting in Brussels on November 23, 2017 about the increase in the number of the Azerbaijani military in Afghanistan.
