Peacekeepers start demining farmland in Agdere region
Baku/06.12.21/Turan: Russian peacekeepers have begun demining the territory of the city of Agdere (Mardakert) in Karabakh, the Russian Defense Ministry said on December 6. The servicemen began demining settlements and surrounding areas intended for agricultural land and grazing livestock.
“Today, 1.5 hectares of the territory have been cleared, a total of 400 hectares of territory are planned. During the work, 2 explosive objects were discovered,” it was reported.
In total, since November 23, 2020, engineering teams of peacekeepers have cleared 2,322.1 hectares of territory, 683 km of roads, 1,937 buildings, found and neutralized 26,078 explosives, the information says.
According to the report, no demining has been carried out in the area so far, although demining has been carried out in Karabakh for over a year. This message coincided with the information on the transfer of mine maps of all regions by the Armenian side. -02D-
