Philip Reeker: US calls Baku and Yerevan for direct dialogue again
Baku/02.12.22/Turan: On Friday, the US Embassy in Armenia distributed a video message from Philip Reeker, Senior Advisor to the State Department for Negotiations in the Caucasus, following his visit to Yerevan.
He speaks of productive talks with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Armenia and that he had similar talks in Baku and Tbilisi.
“The United States at the highest level, represented by Secretary of State Blinken and National Security Adviser Sullivan, is involved in and supports direct Armenian-Azerbaijani talks.
We are committed to ensuring a peaceful future in the South Caucasus. We are convinced that ongoing direct dialogue, and not military action, plays a key role in the settlement and achievement of a comprehensive long-term peace.
We understand that this is not easy, but I want to repeat the words of Blinken at a meeting with Mirzoyan and Bayramov that the United States is ready to do everything to support your efforts to achieve peace,” Ricker said. ----02D---
