Police isolated envoy of Jamil Gasanli until the CEC considered his complaint
CEC today dismissed the appeals of former presidential candidate of the National Council of Democratic Forces ( NCDF) Jamil Gasanli on violations during the presidential elections. CEC explained this decision by saying that the complaint had been made not on the original acts of violations? but on copies of these documents.
It is noteworthy that the CEC considered this in the absence of the authorized representative of Gasanli in the CEC Gulaga Aslanly.
As it turned out , the morning of October 13 he was arrested by the police , and was isolated for more than 5 hours.
"This morning around 9:30 am, when I left home , I was detained by about 20 police officers and people in civilian clothes. They took me to the 7th Binagadi police department . I was told that a citizen complained about me because I supposedly threw garbage in the trash and then splattered mud on him. In this case, the complaint was registered half an hour after I was detained," Aslanly said.
He was released around 13.45 , and they took a receipt that on Monday he will come again to the police for explanatory writing.
Aslanly regarded it as a provocation to prevent his participation in the meeting of the Central Election Commission to consider Gasanli's case.
He also considers unreasonable deviation of Gasanli's complaints under the pretext of his providing copies of documents. "When we were told yesterday by the Central Election Commission of the need to submit original acts, I said no problem , we can do it. But then the representatives of the CEC did not answer the phone . This morning , I was just heading for the originals to be submitted to the CEC , but I was detained , and at that time the meeting of the CEC was held," Aslanly said.
At 15.00 at the headquarters of the party Musavat Aslanly held a press conference.
The CEC is usually presented first copies of acts, so that the originals are not lost in the perspective of the need to present them in court.
Independent experts believe sufficient to provide copies to CEC for considering complaints. -06D--
