Baku/14.10.13/Turan : Today in Nasimi district court a verdict was read on the young activist of PPFA Dayanat Babaev , charged with disorderly conduct .
The court found him guilty and sentenced him to two years of probation. Earlier, the prosecutor asked the court to sentence him to four years in prison.
Babaev said the verdict is unfair because he had not committed any crime.
Recall that Dayanat Babaev was charged under Article 221.2.1 (hooliganism committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code .
The investigation claims that November 7, 2012 Babaev, along with another activist of PPFA Rahim Musaev violated public order in the center of Baku. Allegedly in a drunken state, they insulted a Tofig Salimov and caused him minor injuries.
In fact, dressed in civilian clothes Salimov introduced himself as a police officer and offered the activists to follow him to the police department. When the activists demanded his identity, he tried to flee. The young people reported it to another police officer, but they themselves were detained. -16b06-

Official Baku has condemned the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Azerbaijan-Armenia border during his official visit to Armenia. "The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions.
