President of Georgia Calls to End Masquerade with Appointment of Prime Ministers
Tbilisi / 14.06.18 / Turan: Bidzina Ivanishvili, as leader of the ruling party, should become Prime Minister, Georgian President Georgi Margvelashvili said.
According to Margvelashvili, it is necessary to stop the masquerade in Georgia, when the society does not know who and why removes the Prime Ministers.
"Yesterday the Prime Minister resigned from office and said that he should give the chance to the party chairman, that is, Bidzina Ivanishvili, to staff the new government. I believe these processes should be much more understandable and meaningful to society. I think that for society it should be clear, why the Prime Ministers suddenly leave office, though they are successful, as was the former Prime Minister Garibashvili.
If we are talking about the European choice, and the formation of a European state, then the Prime Ministers are the leaders of the ruling party. Accordingly, Bidzina Ivanishvili, as leader of the ruling party, should become Prime Minister if we are talking about responsible politics and the formation of a public process that is understandable for the society," Georgi Margvelashvili said. -02D-
