Presidential Scholarship Established
Baku / 25.03.19 / Turan: In accordance with the presidential decree of February 25, 2019, the establishment of presidential scholarships is provided for war veterans. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Labor on March 25.
According to the report, since April, instead of social benefits to war veterans, a monthly stipend of 80 manat is established for the payment of utility and transport services in the amount of 55 manat and an increase to the basic part of labor pensions at 11 manat.
According to the Ministry, this measure will support 80 thousand war veterans. For these purposes, 80 million AZN will be allocated from the state budget annually. -06D-

On November 13, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Afghan Taliban held talks in Baku as part of the COP29 conference. According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.
