Baku/18.01.22/Turan: The sentence to the chairman of the Citizens and Development Party (PGR) Ali Aliyev to deprive him of liberty for 5 months will be appealed. An appeal will be filed this week, lawyer Javad Javadov told Turan. He said that the text of the verdict was given to him only today. “An appeal will be prepared and filed this week,” the lawyer said. The day before, he met Aliyev in the pre-trial detention center.
“His health is good, there are no complaints about the conditions of detention. He remains in the same position, does not plead guilty, considers the court's verdict to be ordered,” Javadov said.
On January 13, the Yasamal District Court of Baku sentenced Ali Aliyev to five months in prison on charges of libel. The lawsuit against him was filed by Colonel-Lieutenant of the Border Service Emil Jafarov.
It should be noted that another similar lawsuit against Aliyev was filed by another officer of the border service, Ramin Adilov. They are both survivors of the Mi-17 helicopter crash on November 30th in the Khizi region. The reason for the lawsuit was Aliyev’s interview to the Osmanqızı TV Youtube channel on December 9, 2021.
In particular, Aliyev suggested that the helicopter could have crashed as a result of a provocation from the outside, so the attack on the helicopter of the border service should be considered an attack on the borders of Azerbaijan, he said.
Aliyev did not rule out that Russia could be behind the provocation, which has long been seeking to secure the border of Azerbaijan. -03B06-

Апелляционная жалоба будет подана на этой неделе, сообщил Turan адвокат Джавад Джавадов.
Он сказал, что текст приговора ему выдали только сегодня.
«На этой неделе будет подготовлена и подана апелляционная жалоба», - сказал адвокат.
Накануне он встретился в СИЗО с Алиевым.
«Состояние здоровья у него хорошее, жалоб на условия содержания нет. Он остается на прежней позиции, не признает себя виновным, считает приговор суда заказным», - отметил Джавадов.
13 января Ясамальский районный суд Баку приговорил Али Алиева к пяти месяцам лишения свободы по обвинению в клевете.
Иск против него был подан полковником-лейтенантом пограничной службы Эмилем Джафаровым.
Отметим, что еще один аналогичный иск против Алиева был подан и другим офицером погранслужбы Рамином Адиловым. Они оба - выжившие в крушении вертолета Ми-17 30-го ноября в Хызынском районе.
Причиной иска стало интервью Алиева Youtube-каналу Osmanqızı TV от 9 декабря 2021 года.
В частности, Алиев предположил, что вертолет мог потерпеть катастрофу в результате провокации со стороны, поэтому атака на вертолет погранслужбы должна рассматриваться как атака на границы Азербайджана, сказал он.
Алиев не исключил, что за провокацией может стоять Россия, которая давно добивается взятия под охрану границы Азербайджана. -03B06-
