Baku/15.06.23/Turan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sherif of Pakistan embarked on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan, commencing today. The visit signifies the Pakistani government's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering mutually advantageous partnerships. Following the formal meeting ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev and Shahbaz Sherif engaged in private discussions at the residence of the Azerbaijani President. The meeting later proceeded in an expanded format.
Ahead of his arrival in Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Sherif took to Twitter, affirming that the visit aligns with the government's strategy to bolster bilateral ties and cultivate mutually beneficial associations. Alongside expediting the Preferential Trade Agreement's prompt completion, the Prime Minister expressed his plans to hold significant discussions with Azerbaijani leadership concerning collaborative opportunities in the realms of energy, banking, financial services, and information technology.
Prime Minister Sherif conveyed the Pakistani side's aspiration to elevate "excellent bilateral political ties" into "robust trade and investment relations."—0—
