Prime Ministers of Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Discuss Problems of Ukrainian Goods Transit

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk discussed transit issues after Russia's refusal to pass Ukrainian goods by telephone with the heads of the governments of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reported.

In an interview with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov Yatsenyuk discussed the transit of Ukrainian products to Kazakhstan. The parties agreed to instruct the national offices to promptly resolve the problem for transit.

Yatsenyuk also said Ukraine's intention to notify the WTO members of the misconduct of Russia, blocking the transit of Ukrainian goods.

The same questions were the focus of talks between Yatsenyuk and Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.

"The leaders of the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani governments have reached a basic agreement on how to address the problems of transit and agreed to hold meetings of the national representatives to harmonize the necessary technical solutions as soon as possible," said the Cabinet of Ministers.

Recall that on 4 January, Russia completely stopped transit of goods from Ukraine through its territory. -02D-
