Prosecutor General on the fight against corruption
Baku/24.01.21/Turan: Last year, the prosecutor's office initiated 301 criminal cases against 493 persons on the facts of corruption, the head of this department, Kamran Aliyev announced at an extended meeting of the Collegium of the Prosecutor General's Office on January 24. 274 cases against 466 persons have been completed and sent to the courts.
As for the damage caused by corruption, in 2021, compensation for damage in the amount of 39 million 285 manats was provided. At the same time, the defendants paid 2 million 195 thousand manats to the state budget, and their property worth 101 million 373 thousand manats was seized. -05D-
