Prosecutor's Office investigates death of Gennady Burbulis
Baku/20.06.22/Turan: The investigative department of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan has launched an investigation due to the death of former Russian State Secretary and first Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Burbulis in Baku on June 19. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan responding to an inquiry about Burbulis' death.
In turn, the Russian Embassy expressed its condolences. "The Embassy offers its condolences to Burbulis's family and friends. Our consular staff is providing the necessary assistance to the family members," Alina Zolotareva, head of the Embassy's press service, told the Turan news agency.
It should be noted that Burbulis was in Azerbaijan as a guest of the Baku Global Forum. In this connection, the authorities are assisting in sending the body of the deceased to Moscow.
He died Sunday afternoon in the sauna of a five-star hotel. -06В-
