Protest in front of the Russian Embassy
Baku/03.04.22/Turan: On Friday, a group of Azerbaijani human rights activists held a protest action in front of the Russian Embassy in Baku against the military invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the police did not allow to approach the embassy building, due to “security measures”. This angered the protesters, and they read out a statement near the embassy.
The statement contains a demand to immediately end the Russian occupation, completely withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine and resolve problems with neighbors at the negotiating table.
After that, the protesters chanted: "End of the occupation!" and gave the statement to the police officers, who promised to forward it to the embassy.
The action was organized by the “Protection Line”, it was attended by: the head of this NGO Rufat Safarov, members of the organization Zaur Akper, Zafar Ahmedov, Alaif Hasanov, public activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev and others -16D-
