Putin and Aliyev confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation
Baku/10.05.21/Turan: On Monday, May 10, Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev had a telephone conversation on the initiative of the Russian leader.
During the phone conversation the heads of state congratulated each other on the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, saying courage of savior warriors is remembered, and the veterans who showed unprecedented heroism and selflessness are honored with gratitude in both countries.
They affirmed both sides` commitment to further expansion of Azerbaijan-Russia comprehensive mutual activities.
During the conversation the heads of state noted that contacts at different levels would be continued, the press service of the President of Azerbaijan reported.—0—

Germany is trying to prevent the escalation of the military conflict in Europe and is making efforts to do so. Speaking on November 22 at a press conference in Baku, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock responded to a question about whether Berlin would provide "Taurus" missiles to Kyiv after Russia's use of ballistic missiles against Ukraine. "Therefore, this question cannot be answered with a simple 'yes'," she said.
