Putin calls Serjikto clarify the matters?
On August 10, Moscow will host a working meeting between the presidents of Russia and Armenia, reported the Kremlin press service. Serzh Sargsyan will visit Moscow at the invitation of President Putin. During the summit talks they will discuss the key issues of cooperation in political, trade-economic and humanitarian fields. "It is expected that the well will exchange views on a number of pressing international and regional problems," the report says.
It should be noted that on 8 August, Putin will be in Baku, where he will meet with President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Rouhani; on August 9 in St. Petersburg he will meet with the Turkish President Erdogan.
There is no doubt that at the meetings with Aliyev and Erdogan Karabakh problem will be raised. The same theme was in the spotlight during the last two weeks in Yerevan, where 30 militants seized police regiment threatened to start a civil war against Sargsyan plans to "surrender" Karabakh.
Thus, it can be assumed with high probability that the Karabakh conflict will also be the focus of the meeting between Putin and Sargsyan; and Sarkisian stated publicly that he rejects the gradual settlement plan, which is actually supported by Russia. -02В-
