Quarantine Mode Tightened, SMS Passes Restored
Baku / 18.06.20 / Turan: A special quarantine regime will be tightened in large cities and a number of regions of Azerbaijan from 00.00 June 21 to 06.00 on July 5.
In the cities of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Absheron, Jalilabad, Lenkoran and Masalli districts, an exit system will be applied via SMS passes.
This was announced today at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers by the head of the Foreign Ministry press service Leyla Abdullaeva.
Details of the strict quarantine regime will be announced on June 19.
At the same time, Abdullaeva noted that in the indicated cities and districts, employees of state and private institutions whose activities will be allowed will go to work at different times.
Shopping centers will be suspended. Catering facilities will stop serving on site.
The work of hairdressing salons, beauty salons, the provision of cosmetic services, including at home and other places, will be suspended.
Museums and exhibition salons, sports competitions, which were previously allowed outdoors, will be closed.
At the same time, unlike the previous strict quarantine regime, which was in force from April 5 to May 4, people over 65 will not be completely prohibited from leaving the house, parks and boulevards will be open, and the metro will work.
Abdullaeva also announced the extension of a special quarantine regime in the country until August 1. —06D-
