Rasim Balaev left the Union of Cinematographers

People's Artist of Azerbaijan Rasim Balaev Friday night issued a media statement on his resignation from the post of secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan and out of the organization. He motivates his step with the politics of the president of the Union Rustam Ibrahimbeyov.

 "Dear to me, Rustam Ibragimbekov has recently been more involved in politics. I take it with great regret and I think that as an actor that has won the love of thousands of spectators in the audience, as an intellectual, I have to leave this organization and devote my talents to develop and popularize Azerbaijani culture and films," Balaev said in a statement.

 Now he is committed to "be with Mr President in bringing to the attention of the world the truth about our country."
 
Balaev's statement followed after a tax audit of the Union of Cinematographers started, and he was questioned the investigation.
 
Many members of the public and users of social networking evaluated the involement of the well-known actor in nthe investigation as pressure on him. -06D -
