Results of Visit of Navy Ships from Azerbaijan to Astrakhan
A group of three Navy warships from Azerbaijan arrived on a friendly visit to Astrakhan, Russia. The Fleet Commander, Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov, met with Governor Alexander Zhilkin and then invited the head of the region on board, the press service of the Governor stated.
Alexander Zhilkin reported that in November, he will arrive in Azerbaijan to attend the opening ceremony of the Baku and Astrakhan Friendship Park.
In early October, Astrakhan will be the capital of the Russian-Azerbaijani Youth Forum, said Zhilkin .
This is a return visit for the warships of Azerbaijan. In August, a detachment of the Caspian flotilla led by the Russian missile ship Dagestan visited the Baku port. The ship was visited by the Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev. -16B–
