Ruben Vardanyan decided to save Karabakh
Baku/02.09.22/Turan: On September 1, a video message of Russian-Armenian businessman Ruben Vardanyan appeared on Youtube, saying that he had moved to Karabakh and renounced Russian citizenship.
"I made the decision, realizing the risks I take on myself, to renounce Russian citizenship and move to Artsakh as an Armenian citizen. I believe that after the 2020 war, we, the Armenians of the whole world, are obliged to be together with the people of Artsakh," he said.
According to sources in Karabakh, Vardanyan should take the post of "state minister" instead of Artak Beglaryan.
It can be concluded from Vardanyan's video message that he will try to implement the idea of a Russian protectorate over Karabakh.
It is possible that the far-reaching goal of Vardanyan's appearance in Karabakh is to replace Araik Harutyunyan as "president".
Official Baku has not yet responded to Vardanyan's actions. Earlier, Russian peacekeepers controlling the entry and exit from Karabakh blocked those who repeatedly irritated Baku.

In March 2019, the OCCRP released an investigation into the Troika Dialog offshore company system, through which money was secretly transferred to the most influential people in Russia, for example, Vladimir Putin's friend Sergey Roldugin.
In 2006-2013, more than $4.5 billion passed through the accounts of these companies. After that, deputies of the European Parliament demanded to impose sanctions against Ruben Vardanyan. -02d-

"The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions. We deeply regret that President of the country which is officially a “strategic partner” of Azerbaijan has participated in the unacceptable diplomatic “binocular show” leading to the aggravation of relations between Azerbaijan and Poland,”" reads the statement on the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ account on X (formerly Twitter).
