Ali Karimli"s Guard Abducted by Police
Baku / 09/11/19 / Turan: A member of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) Ruslan Amirli, kidnapped on September 10 when leaving the Oncology Center, was taken to the 29th police station of the Yasamal district.
According to the PFPA, he was kept there all night without informing his relatives of the reason for his detention.
On the morning of September 11, Amirli was taken to the Yasamal court. PFPA activists who arrived at the scene were not allowed into the courthouse; police squads pushed them a few tens of meters aside.
In 2019, more than 80 PFPA activists were repressed. Most of them underwent administrative arrests on charges of resisting the police and disorderly conduct.
The PFPA leadership regards this as "targeted repression of the authorities against the country's leading opposition forces in order to prevent the influence and growth of the PFPA from growing." -05С06-
