Moscow / 16.06.18 / Turan: During a traditional briefing on Friday at the Russian Foreign Ministry, press secretary Maria Zakharova gave a very sharp answer to the claims of the correspondent of the Trend Agency of Baku, which for a lonf time is trying to obtain from the official representatives of Moscow an answer to the statements of the Armenian Premier, Pashinyan. In particular, the correspondent recalled the replacement in the transcript of the briefing the statements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zakharova, on this issue, which has changed the general meaning of his statement.
Zakharova's reaction was quite stormy and long. "Tell me, do you have such a pedantic approach on this issue only?" Do you know how many times, unfortunately, I personally witnessed how, in particular, my words or the words of my colleagues are distorted, just in your agency? I do not remember such a pedantic approach.
I believe that our briefings are done in order to get actual answers. But, unfortunately, for almost three years I have repeatedly faced a situation where questions sound like political statements. And you know about it. Unfortunately, I think this is done not to help to resolve a very difficult situation, but maybe with some other goals.
I appeal to everyone: you are always welcome for actual, evaluation information, we are happy to clarify and give answers. But I do not think that this is correct, and I will always insist on this that it is necessary and possible to ask questions that in sound provocatively, especially on the most complicated issues that affect the peoples of the two countries, in particular Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"I have not got a single call within two weeks, I did not get a single call from the Trend news agency. This is very strange, because, in my opinion, if you personally are concerned about this issue as a journalist of this agency, you probably would have found the opportunity to ask me on phone, but for some reason you did not. Why did you wait two weeks and come again in public space to raise this topic? So, is there any desire to provoke something? What is this for?
Our country does its utmost to resolve the problems of Nagorno-Karabakh. Why? You know that perfectly. Firstly, we want the two peoples to settle this bloody problem, secondly, because we want to develop relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Armenia and Azerbaijan have developed relations among themselves. It seems to me that our task is to bring the settlement moment closer, and not to postpone it.
Once again I want to say that I have made such a monologue in response to your question for one reason: in two weeks you somehow did not find a moment to call me. At the same time, I can say that many people called me from Azerbaijan. And many who are in this room, they called me and got answers to their questions. And your agency did not call.
I propose to work constructively, to use the opportunities and answers not for provocative purposes, but in order to solve the main task, and the main task is the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Do not you agree with me?"said Zakharova.
Trend's reaction to this attack is unknown. Previously official Baku made a number of speeches and statements, demanding that the Russian Foreign Ministry recognize the error and punish the perpetrators.
For example, Baku organized an appeal of pro-governmental media to Russia"s Foreign Ministry expressing indignation on this mistake which can affect bilateral relations. But apparently, the authors have not take into account their strength. -02D-

On November 25, the Khatai District Court considered the complaint filed by Farid Mehralizade, an economist arrested in connection with the “Abzas Media” case. He challenged the actions of the investigative authorities during a search of his apartment and the confiscation of his belongings. According to his wife, Nargiz Muhtarova, who spoke to Turan news agency, the hearing was held without the participation of the plaintiff. The court rejected the complaint, stating that there were no violations of the law.

Rashad Melikzade, the former head of the financial department at the Training and Education Center of the Ministry of Defense and a lieutenant colonel, has been sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison. The verdict was issued on Monday by the Baku Serious Crimes Court. The court also ordered the seizure of property belonging to Melikzade and his family, valued at 2 million manats, to compensate for the damage caused to the state.
