Expectations of gas revenues, reasons for the rise in price on butter, non-quality services in tourism are the leading media topics on June 16.

The newspaper "Azerbaijan" focuses on the expected income of Azerbaijan from the launch of the TANAP gas pipeline and in the future TAP.

Expert Vugar Bayramov draws attention to the fact that according to this transport system Azerbaijan will annually export 16 billion cubic meters of gas, including 6 billion cubic meters to Turkey, and another 10 billion to Europe. In the future, the pumping through TANAP will be expanded to 31 billion cubic meters of gas and new gas delivery routes to Europe will open. Experts says that thanks to the launch of the Southern Gas Corridor, of which TANAP and TAP are part, Azerbaijan will receive revenues of $ 150 billion.

The Yeni Musavat newspaper raises the problem of rising prices for butter and sees the reason for this in monopoly on the import of this product. Expert Gubad Ibadoglu points out the absence of reasons for the rise in price of imported oil, since for a year the exchange rate of the manat has been stable against the dollar.

The rise in price occurs despite the fact that in December 2017 the Cabinet of Ministers reduced customs duties on the import of dairy products.

85% of butter is imported from New Zealand. Import of this product is carried out by several companies that have divided the market among themselves. The expert believes that the Antimonopoly Agency should take measures against monopolists.

The site "Qafqazinfo.az" raises the topic of poor quality of services in the sphere of tourism. So hotels are 4-5 stars, but in reality they provide services at the level of two-star hotels. For this reason, Azerbaijan cannot attract even half of the tourists visiting Georgia, because for only five months of this year Georgia received from tourism 1 billion 36 million dollars. A total of 8 million tourists are expected to visit Georgia in 2018, and $3 billion revenue is expected.

Azerbaijan, neither reduce prices, nor increase the quality. Therefore, the flow of tourists is going to Georgia. Over the five months of this year 485,733 people from Azerbaijan visited the neighboring Georgia. -0--
