Baku/11.10.21/Turan: The command of the Russian contingent is investigating the incident on October 9 when a resident of the village of Aziz was fatally wounded by a shot from the Azerbaijani side during agricultural work near the contact line of the parties. This is stated in a newsletter of the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh. Note that the investigation is underway with the involvement of representatives of both sides, the report says.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied involvement in this incident.
It should be noted that the village of Sugovushan (Aziz) has been under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces for a year and that there are no Armenians there. -02D-

On November 26, the Baku Court of Appeals reviewed the appeal of human rights defender Anar Mammadli, who contested the extension of his detention. Arrested economist Fazil Gasimov has reportedly faced pressure after protesting the interruption of a phone call with his family on November 16. "The phone call was cut off, and Fazil demanded that the connection be restored. Then, Jalal Alizadeh, a detention center officer, along with his colleagues, forcibly removed Fazil from the phone room in the medical unit of the facility, tearing his jacket and dragging him across the floor before throwing him into a cell.
