Russian Prime Minister and Speaker of State Duma to visit Azerbaijan
Washington/30.06.22/Turan: The Russian Prime Minister and the Speaker of the State Duma will soon visit Azerbaijan. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Ashgabat on June 29.
Trade between the two countries is constantly growing and political contacts are getting stronger.
"The visits of our Prime Minister and the Chairman of the State Duma are being prepared. But the most important thing is the implementation of our plans, more precisely, our joint plan of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation until 2024.
Of course, there are issues of regional security, including and above all those related to the Karabakh settlement. You and I talked about it, and now we will have the opportunity to talk more on this topic," Putin said.
In turn, Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the meeting would contribute to the development of friendly, good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
"Today there will be an opportunity to talk about the situation within the framework of regional issues and the settlement of regional conflicts."
"We are sure that relations between Russia and Azerbaijan will develop successfully for the benefit of our countries and peoples," he said. -02D-
