Secretary General meets Chief of State Security Service of Azerbaijan
Baku/30.10.23/Turan: Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić has met the Chief of State Security Service of Azerbaijan Ali Naghi oglu Naghiyev.
The meeting focused on the importance of fostering dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including through confidence-building measures (CBMs).
Marija Pejčinović Burić reiterated that all those living in the Council of Europe geographical space are entitled to the full enjoyment of all human rights and freedoms as enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights.
In a ceremony with the Secretary General, Ali Naghi oglu Naghiyev signed the Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs (CETS 216), reads a press release of the Council of Europe. -0-
