The "Bosco Conference" in Baku.

Baku/10/30.23/Turan: The "Bosco Conference" company, with the support of "Pasha Development" and a number of other partners, organized the international conference "InvestPro Azerbaijan 2023" in Baku with the participation of representatives of the international luxury real estate market, as well as the audit and banking sector from around the world.

This event allowed business professionals, investors, lawyers to exchange views on the latest trends in the luxury real estate market in Europe, Asia and the Americas, get first-hand information about business emigration opportunities, investment management, get acquainted with the nuances of tax and customs legislation, discuss asset protection issues, expand the client network.

Note that the moderator and the first speaker at the conference was Tural Hajiyev, a representative of the reputable consulting company "Deloitte" in Azerbaijan, which in itself is an important sign, because this structure provides services to corporate or reputable private clients on risk management issues.

Hajiyev held a presentation of the seventh issue of "Business Outlook" magazine based on the results of a survey among representatives of the private sector of Azerbaijan and companies operating in the country, and this report assessed both key macroeconomic indices of the country's development and trends and problems in the Azerbaijani economy.

Add that such studies are always of interest to investors, because they allow them to better navigate negotiations with potential local partners.

"Deloitte" (Azerbaijan) believes that the growth of the Azerbaijani economy over the past couple of years has been based on the oil and gas sector due to high world prices for hydrocarbons, but the growth rate in the fuel and energy sector is low, mainly due to the natural decline in oil production (the history of production has more than 100 years).

"There is an understanding that large and direct foreign capital investments go to the oil and gas sector. However, to our thinking, in the coming 5-7 years, Azerbaijan's non-oil sector will be very interesting for investors. The growth rate in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan is about 9%, the government has created and continues to create attractive conditions for investing in the development of the non-oil segment of the economy," Hajiyev said.

He emphasized the rapid growth in the agricultural sphere, especially in cotton growing and cotton exports, vegetable growing.

"Azerbaijan's main trading partners in agricultural products are Russia, Turkey, Georgia and Kazakhstan. In general, according to the State Statistics Committee for September 2023, products totaling $27 billion were exported from Azerbaijan, and $13 billion were imported. There is a positive balance of trade turnover," the report says.

The transparency in the development of small and medium-sized businesses has increased.

It is no mere coincidence that the chemical industry and construction are showing high rates, and not only in the creation of industrial facilities, but also the housing stock, in particular, luxury real estate.

"Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves are growing. Inflation declines. It is likely that in 2023 it will be at the level of 8%, and during 2024-27 it will decrease to 4.4%," the representative of "Deloitte" said.

According to this consulting company, the issue of inflation is also important for the labor market of Azerbaijan, determining the compliance of wages.

The next speaker was the marketing director of "Pasha Property Management" Slavica Milic who noted that this structure, which is a part of the multifaceted "Pasha Holdings", is among the leaders in the creation and management of elite real estate in Azerbaijan.

According to her, the opening of "Hotel la Luna Crescent Beach" is expected soon, there is great progress in the development of the project "The Ritz-Carlton Residences" in Baku, the creation of infrastructure in "White City" (on the site of an industrial zone in the capital of Azerbaijan).

Then the guests spoke, in particular, the CEO of "D&A Invest Worldwide Investment Services" Anna Drugakova (business emigration and obtaining a Golden Visa through the purchase of real estate in Greece), managing partner of "EC Holdings Alexander D.H. Bello" (topic "Immigration program for permanent residence in Paraguay), Vitaly Modlo ("US Green Card through the EB-5 investment Program"), CEO of Mundo Expert Lilia Soboleva ("Residency in Panama through real estate investments: overview and guidance").
