The date of the visit of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Baku is being determined, said Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Maria Zakharova. "I can say that this visit will take place, and as soon as the date is determined with our Azerbaijani colleagues, we will certainly inform you about the date and the program of the visit," she said at a briefing in Moscow.
Earlier in February, the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the planned meeting of foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan in Baku. According to him, this meeting will focus on the implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. After that, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin visited the capitals of Azerbaijan and Iran.
